​If your fee is $5,000 for Murder Mystery Training and you receive one booking per year from MSI, you'd earn $3,750. If you book one program on your own, and pay the 10% commission, you'd earn $4,500. Again, you get the idea. BUT, keep in mind, nothing is guaranteed. These are potential earnings based upon the marketplace and your own personal actions.

Murder Mystery Products and Material

When you are booked for a murder mystery event, MSI will supply you with support material at special Murder Mystery Pro Licensee prices. You can then mark them up at your discretion and keep all of the profits. I'm not even projecting your revenue stream from the sale of this material. Just consider it a well-deserved bonus for being a Mystery Party Pro. 

Of course, since your personal efforts will determine your TOTAL REVENUE, I can't tell you exactly how much you'll earn as a Mystery Party Pro. I (like you) am skeptical of other Internet sites that claim they will make you an "Instant Millionaire" by using their products. I'm NOT promising anything other than a legitimate opportunity to start a business and make money while having fun using your skills and talents.

However . . .

To give you an idea of how the "average" numbers I just gave you project into a revenue stream, look at the table below and review the three different scenarios.

NOTE: In all three scenarios, I've used the same numbers for "Mystery Parties booked by MSI" and "Mystery Seminars booked by MSI."  This is realistic. My company's involvement in your business might increase, but that's not guaranteed. (What in life is?) Instead, I've given you projections based upon how your business can increase in line with your personal efforts. I'll be behind you supporting you and cajoling you (my wife says I'm a good "cajoler") all the way. By all means, you should adjust the numbers to reflect your personal anticipated fee levels and number of bookings.

You're probably asking, "How much can I earn as a Mystery Party Pro Licensee?" The answer will be different for everyone.

As with any business, the more you put into it, the greater your return on investment. However, the following will help you calculate your personal potential. Your income will come primarily from three different sources:

• Murder Mystery Parties - Entertainment events during which you facilitate a murder mystery investigation in roughly a three-hour timeframe.
  
• Murder Mystery Training and Seminars - Specialized corporate and association events in which solving the case is tied to such content as team building, communications, and goal setting.
  
• Murder Mystery Products and Material - Books, DVDs and workbooks that are sold in association with the mystery events.
  

Here's how these tie together to produce a revenue stream.

Murder Mystery Parties

A good range to use for projecting what you can charge for a murder mystery party is $500 to $1,500. We will work together to decide what the right fee is for your area. The marketplace will be different depending on where you live. In larger metropolitan areas, you'll be able to charge a higher fee. In less populated areas where the cost of living is lower, your fee will be lower.

Business that originates with me will be contracted through my company, Management Strategies, Inc. You'll keep 75% after you pay a commission to MSI for coordinating the booking. If you book a mystery directly, you'll keep 90% and pay a small commission to MSI.

Conservatively, if MSI is able to send you six bookings per year (one every other month), and your fee is $1000 (a solid number to use), you'll earn $4,500 per year (that's 6 X $1000 minus 25%). If you book six mysteries on your own, you'll earn an additional $5,400 per year (that's 6 X $1000 minus 10%). Your total earnings would then by $9,900.

These numbers are intentionally CONSERVATIVE. Needless to say, if you develop your own marketing system, they could be MUCH HIGHER. It's really up to you. If you multiply this scenario by a factor of three, the total would then be $29,700. By a factor of five, it would be $49,500. I could keep going, but you get the idea.

Before you ask . . . 

"Yes, this is an honor system." Because the Charter Licensees will be a select core group of professionals, they will also be trusted close colleagues.

Murder Mystery Training and Seminars

A lucrative addition to your business could be facilitating Murder Mystery Training events for corporations and associations. Because unique, memorable learning experiences are at a premium, you'll be able to charge $5,000 to $10,000 per booking if you tie the mystery material to team building, communications, goal setting, and a variety of other personal development topics. I have already developed workbooks (I call them casebooks) that will enable you to upsell your murder mysteries to reap the rewards of providing experiential learning events.

Since these are very specialized programs, clients don't mind paying travel expenses when they find the right facilitator for this type of training. If I receive requests for Murder Mystery Training, most of the time, I will take them myself. (I'm just being upfront and honest with you.) However, if a client requests a date when I already have a booking, or has a budget that is more in line with your fee structure, I will turn the booking over to you (or to one of the other Mystery Party Pros). The 25% commission would, naturally, apply for my company's role in finalizing the booking.
